How You Taste

How You Taste
Today I will be talking about your taste buds and what it
does.

If you are a kid you have more papillae than adults
because the adults papillae dies and does not grow
back.

The papillae is something on your tongue that lets
you taste the food you are eating and next to the
papillae are microscopic type of hairs called
micro villi.

The olfactory receptors are something in your
nose that asks the brain for information and the
brain will tell you if it is sour, sweet or spicy.

When you have a blocked nose the way to your
olfactory receptors will be blocked from the snot
so the food odor particles cannot reach the
olfactory receptors.

I learned that you need your nose to taste.
